The launch of Samsung Galaxy A8+ (2018) in India is on the go and Amazon had set up a dedicated page for the handset a day before. Samsung has finally sent invites for an event named as “the year’s first big innovation,” which would take place on Wednesday, January 10 in New Delhi. The handset is mainly popular because of the Infinity Display design, water- and dust-resistant body, and up to 6GB RAM. The upcoming model will be an Amazon-exclusive model in India.
Samsung Galaxy A8+ has a 6-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display and with 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It is basically powered by an octa-core processor along with two 2.2GHz cores and six 1.6GHz cores the rear camera is of 16-megapixel with f/1.7 aperture and PDAF, while there is a dual selfie camera setup with 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel sensors, both with f/1.9 aperture.
There are two configurations of the smartphone, one with 4GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage, and other with 6GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage. Both the variants support microSD cards of up to 256GB capacity. Fueled by fast charging 3500mAh battery, the connectivity options of the smartphone include Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0 and LE, NFC, USB Type-C, GPS, and GLONASS. The dimensions of the smartphone are 159.9×75.7×8.3mm and the weight is 191 grams. It also makes use of MST for Samsung Pay-based mobile payments.
Its smaller version Galaxy A8 (2018) is more or less the same, the only difference being that it features a 5.6-inch display, 3000mAh battery, and comes with only 4GB RAM. It measures 149.2×70.6×8.4mm, and weighs 172 grams.
Galaxy A8+ (2018) is available at VND 13,490,000 in Vietnam, which roughly comes around to Rs. 38,040. This range is similar to the popular OnePlus 5T as well as Nokia 8 and LG G6. The Galaxy A8 (2018) is priced at VND 10,990,000 (Rs. 30,980 in India).
