At the event of Google for India, the search behemoth declared that its AI-supported search assistant will be obtainable wholly on other entry level handsets including the Reliance JioPhone. The Google Assistant, which was declared in May 2016, was obtainable on iOS, Android, and Android Wear gadgets.
The firm unveiled that this particular variant of Google Assistant developed for JioPhone will provide support for both English and Hindi languages. In an authorized post, the firm claimed, “This will assist bring the advantages of the Google Assistant to billions of Internet users that are using it for the first time on the JioPhone with a spontaneous voice-supported user interface, in addition to a rich cluster of data offerings.”
The Google Assistant will allow the consumers to send text messages, make phone calls, search & navigate the internet, play videos & music, and access other services as well as apps. It is worth citing that the handset also has its personal digital assistant in addition to the backing for voice instructions. It can back almost 24 languages of India. To remember, the firm rolled out the JioPhone in July 2017 at the yearly general conference of the firm and it smacked the shops this year in September.
The JioPhone has a QVGA TFT 2.4-inch display and operates on KAI OS. This OS is a modified variant of Firefox OS. The 4G feature handset is fueled by a dual-core processor coupled with 512 MB RAM. The handset provides 4 GB of internal memory and the consumers can extend the memory to almost 128 GB by including a microSD card. When it comes to connectivity, the handset provides VoLTE, 4G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, and headphone jack. The handset also has pre-installed apps such as JioMusic, JioTV, as well as JioCinema for users to enjoy.
