Instagram Now Allows You Post Text-Only In Stories Via Type-Mode

Facebook-controlled Instagram was experimenting the type-mode for its feature of stories for a long period. The firm has now rolled out (in stories) the Type mode. The firm states that it is a latest way to share posts with creative backgrounds and text styles that is on your mind, no video or photo needed.

Similar to the normal stories, you first have to unlock the camera inside the app of Instagram and then you will come upon the “Type” positioned alongside “Normal” below the button of record. You just have to click on the icon of “Type” so as to write anything that you might like to post. Afterwards, you can opt for different colors of background, highlight phrases or words, and add a background photo. The application also allows consumers to include new styles while adding text to any photo or video.

Similar to normal stories of Instagram, the text will also fade away post 24 hours. The upgrade is obtainable for both iOS and Android consumers. The firm additionally claimed, “you can write whatever comes to mind like your favorite lyrics, a silly thought or a random idea — and play with different styles to change the look and feel.”

In December 2017, Instagram rolled out a new function named as recommended posts. This function will show consumers the posts of Instagram that they may like. It displays the suggestions based on your history. The recommended posts arrive with a tagline “Recommended for You” and will come into view between your feed. “When scrolling through Feed, you may see posts that are Recommended for You. These posts are suggested based on posts liked by accounts you follow. You can choose to temporarily hide Recommended for You posts,” says the Instagram Help Centre.
