Google, the search giant, has introduced out a fresh section named “Question & Answers” in its app for Android—Google Maps. The latest section allows users to ask queries associated to a particular spot on the map.
In order to read the current questions and answers or ask a query about a spot, the consumers merely have to Search and open the listing of local business or search for the spot on Google Maps. Then they have to roll down to the “Question & Answers” segment where they can answer anybody else’s question, put in a question, or up vote enlightening ones by clicking the icon of thumbs up. The up voted answers will come into view toward the top of the segment making them most easy to refer to.
In its authorized blog, the company claims, “To make sure that the information is accurate and authentic, the business owners can add frequently asked questions and answers as well. In addition, when you ask a question about a place, we notify the business owner and other in-the-know users to see if they have knowledgeable answers to contribute. When your question is answered, we notify you too.”
Last month, Google added a feature of an SOS alert to Google Maps. The tool is developed to assist the consumers in the time crises. The feature will offer all the necessary data about any human-caused or natural disasters. The new feature is comprised in Google Search, Google Maps, and Google News. The firm also claimed that at the time of the crisis, consumers will get an SOS Alert from Google in the search results at the top when they search for a location or an incident.
In addition to this, last month Reliance Infrastructures Mumbai Metro declared a joint venture with Google to offer information and details about the amenities, an official representative claimed to the media in an interview. The MMOPL (Mumbai Metro One Pvt. Ltd.) has joined forces with Google Maps to offer the users its geographic details and associated authentic timetable on all the Metro stations on the route of Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar.
