To add one more to the ‘made by Google’ product line, the company has developed a new smart speaker and home assistant combined—Google Home. Seeing the product, we can say that it was a successful attempt made by the company to add to its list of home products.
The Google Home is 96.44 mm in diameter and 142.8 mm in height. The new device weighs 477 grams excluding the power adapter. Hence, it is easily portable. The new Google Home is available only in one color variant. It has a white body with its base made up of slate fabric. The device supports various formats of audio such as LC-AAC+, HE-AAC, Vorbis, MP3, WAV (LPCM), and FLAC.
In the connectivity area, the new Google Home supports 802.11b/g/n/ac clocked at either 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz. It also extends support for Wi-Fi giving high-performance. Unfortunately, the device does not support to WPA2-enterprise. The speakers integrated to the new device have a high durability value. They have 2-inch driver as well as dual 2-inch passive radiators. These two combined gives rich bass and clear highs. The device also has a hands-free voice recognition system.
Speaking of the OS, the new Google Home supports Android 4.2 and higher. Simultaneously, it also supports iOS version 8 and higher.
Last but not the least; the new Google Home is price at $ 129 only. The same device is available in India for Rs 15,490.
