As we say, Eminem is candid and outspoken is a stern understatement. The rapper and actor Eminem performed a freestyle rap few days back on the BET Hip Hop Awards and the complete spotlight was on Donald Trump—and it was delightfully vile. It’s not frequently that we see Eminem, who is very well known for his eccentric and intellectual rhymes, performances. When he does that, it is actually a treat for the audience. In the five-minute plus video, Eminem sputtered rhymes that covered a huge sum of ground with regards to the Trump management.
From Steve Bannon to tiki to the KKK torches at Charlottesville to the NFL for colonization to Trump’s Wall, while Marshall Mathers did not hold it back. Stopping and starting his performance meticulously, he churned out bars that were expressive jabs at the earlier Celebrity Apprentice host—mainly his use of social media and how he churns out his thoughts.
Eminem raps off at the top of his voice, “This is his form of distraction/plus he gets an enormous reaction/when he attacks the NFL so we focus on that end/instead of talking Puerto Rico and gun reform for Nevada/All these horrible tragedies and he’s bored or would rather/Cause a Twitter storm with the Packers,”. He goes on to pay respect to Colin Kaepernick, the head of the NFL anthem dissent by putting his fist-up and shouting at the top of his head, “And keep that shit balled, like Donald the bitch!”
Eminem closed the rap strong with a set of dominant verses which goes, “And any fan of mine who’s a supporter of his/I’m drawing in the sand a line/You’re either for or against/And if you can’t decide who you like more and you’re split/On who you should stand beside/I’ll do it for you with this.” And like the Eminem style, he actually punctuated it by raising the middle finger to the camera.
