Hike, the home-based messaging application stated its Hike Wallet has surpassed 10 million transactions/month, increasing to 100% month-over-month. Of which, 70% of the 10 million transactions were on recharge and the outstanding 30% on P2P, as said by the firm.
CEO and Founder of Hike Messenger, Kavin Bharti Mittal, said, “The expansion on the Wallet has been wonderful and frankly, we are simply getting on track. On the back of this expansion, we have rolled out an updated blueprint to make it simpler to find out and transact with facilities on Hike.”
He further said, “It has also become quite apparent to us that our customers desire more services. Thus, we are heads down functioning hard to get things such as booking movie tickets, taxis, and more to the platform. Wait for these to begin launching as early as next quarter.”
The firm is intending to include more services such as pay bills, movie, train, bus tickets, and cab bookings in Q1 2018. In the meantime, Hike is also intending to surface new Public Group in coming 2 Months.
Hike Messenger’s CTO, Vishwanath Ramarao, said, “The one we’re developing is new Public Group as it is difficult to find out groups that are around us such as any college, and in few cases, young professionals. Thus, we are developing a new feature to assist them.”
For Groups, the instant messaging platform has included new social features such as Bill Split, Vote, Events with Reminders, Checklists, and even Teen Patti. And the features will function in the group with around 1,000 members.
The Hike Messenger application was rolled out in 2012 and in January 2016, it attained a user base of more than 100 Million. Its investors comprise Foxconn, Tencent, Softbank, Bharti, and Tiger Global. Besides these, few of the foremost tech experts from the Silicon Valley have also spent in the firm and are advisors.
